Located on Sant Joan de Vilatorrada’s main street, Hostal Soler lies five minutes from Manresa and 20 km from Montserrat. The lodging was simple, nothing more or less. I booked a room for two, and even until the same afternoon (when I personally contacted the owner) we were not told the room was unavailable; luckily there were two single beds free.

Central location. However, there was mold on the windows and shower, doors rattled all night, the towels were old and yellow‑stained, the room was very small, the building was uncomfortable, and the price was outrageous for such poor facilities (93 euros for one night for 2 people).

Nothing positive. The room was not soundproof, the bathroom and bedroom ceilings leaked, paint peeled, parking was impossible, the shower door at the bottom was dirty, the bathroom trash can was broken, it looked more like a home than a hotel with linens spread in common areas, and the TV didn't work.

The cleanliness was excellent. The only drawback was parking the car.
