Strategic spot for getting around, but the lack of an elevator makes the steep, uncomfortable stairs a real hassle.

The place sits right in the heart of Kadiköy, just a short walk to the metro that heads to SAW airport, and the breakfast is delicious while the rooftop terrace offers a fantastic view of Istanbul. The rooms feel a little dated, though.

A small family‑run hotel with very friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms, and a fabulous breakfast. We stayed four nights and plan to return in December. Everyone is super kind and helpful, even the owner is on site and looks after guests. The Khalkedon Hotel is also a historic part of Kadıköy, and its central location means you’re just minutes from the metro, bus, and all other public transport. Highly recommended for a city trip to beautiful Istanbul.

I had mixed up my booking dates, but the young man at the front desk sorted it out quickly – huge thanks! The location is close to the metro, the port, and the old part of Istanbul, giving it an authentic feel.
