Sheraton Presidente San Salvador

The hotel has a splendid history and many past world leaders stayed there. It was pricey, but I chose it because I arrived from Guatemala on a Pullmanturs bus, which was very convenient.

“Convenient location, old hotel.”

The location is great and the outdoor area is peaceful. The building is old and hasn't been renovated in a long time. The AC is noisy, the shower is outdated, and the gym is poorly maintained with a constant sweat smell. For a 5‑star hotel, charging for espresso at breakfast feels bizarre, and the drip coffee is terrible.

“Una Gran Experiencia!”

I loved the staff’s attention to detail, especially in the restaurant where they make sure everything is within reach, support you, and treat you like royalty. Some parts of the facilities need maintenance, such as the pool and the corridors to the rooms.

Breakfast was fantastic and the restaurant staff were super friendly, especially Santiago, the papa Pavo, who was very motivated and lovely. The pool area was nice, but the front desk staff were only okay and not very welcoming, and there was noise in the room from a ventilator outside.

The view from the dining area was great, but sometimes insects would land on the plates because it was open to the outdoors, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, the service was good, the hotel even arranged a taxi to the airport for a small extra fee, and I would probably come back.
