The hotel is situated in a beautiful spot in the small town of San Vivaldo. The apartment offered a valley view and stunning sunsets. We were traveling with a dog, so the private fenced terrace where the dog could roam freely was a great option. There are many walking paths around the hotel through vineyards and olive groves. The kitchen was well equipped, which mattered to us because we often cooked ourselves. Across the road is a restaurant with typical Tuscan cuisine – highly recommended, very good food. It’s a great base for exploring the main cities of Tuscany. Privacy, calm, and independence were ensured by a separate entrance. Martina, the wonderful host, welcomed us warmly and gave us all the important information; she was very helpful. A short walk (2‑3 minutes) from the property is a well‑maintained pool for guests. The exit is directly onto a fairly busy road. The sidewalks are somewhat narrow, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. The hotel is for people with cars – it’s a very small town, so to go somewhere else (e.g., to shop in another town) you need your own transport.
