The location was convenient and the price was reasonable, but when we arrived there weren’t enough rooms, so they added a bed for us; the cleaning was awful, food stayed in the entrance until the next day, the waiters were dirty, and overall it was terrible.

The staff were attentive and pleasant, especially Raúl, yet we booked a week in advance and upon arrival the rooms we needed were unavailable; they managed to accommodate us, but one room had been used by previous guests and the cleaning was subpar. In late October it was already chilly at night (3 °C) with no heating, and only some rooms had heaters. The employees were friendly and helpful.

The only good thing about the accommodation is that some of the dinner dishes (the meat) were tasty. However, the value for money is awful—260 € for two shabby rooms. When we arrived in the afternoon one room wasn’t ready and they had to clean it at 20:00. The door of one room wouldn’t close. We had no towels and the cleaning could be better. They exploit the hostel’s proximity to the Hayedo de la Tejera Negra and the usual scarcity of nearby lodging to inflate prices that don’t match the services; I think it’s worth driving a few kilometres to avoid this place.

We asked for a room so our daughter could sleep with us and they gave us a room with a larger bed; the waiters were very good. The place is completely abandoned: peeling ceilings, swollen doors, the front door left open all night (couldn’t close it), broken furniture… they don’t clean rooms or change towels (we stayed three nights); neither the room nor the bathroom has a hook, shelf, or place to hang anything (not even a towel). The wardrobe only has a bar and a chair inside for putting something on top. The shower lacks a curtain or screen, so water splashes everywhere. Heating is inconsistently plugged in with no set schedule. The restaurant is a mess, barely holding together because people are eager; things are left to be collected, swept (they don’t have time), and orders are taken poorly, giving a very bad impression. I’m sorry to say this, but it’s by far the most disastrous place I’ve stayed.
