“Rubbish”

Breakfast wasn’t available because the kitchens were closed until after Christmas, yet we still had to pay almost £80. The room was very cold; the central heating didn’t turn on. The sheet my husband slept on was supposed to be white but it was grey. The bedding didn’t match (twin beds not a double!). Even under the quilt I was cold – it was very heavy but not warm. The room looked like it was from the 1970s. There was dust on the wardrobe, the mirror, and pictures. The bathroom glass was filthy. The holder was badly corroded. The shower support rod was falling off the wall. Two of the lights didn’t work. The TV constantly needed rebooting. We turned the TV and lights off at 10 pm because we were fed up with the TV rebooting and how cold the room was. No one was there to address these issues. They only gave us two tea bags! I never go here again or recommend it to anyone else! I feel very cheated financially.

The location is quiet yet convenient to other areas. The garden space is nice. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee are provided in the room, and parking is spacious and free.

“NO food although advertised , bar was closed at 8.30 , rooms not good.”

I had no food available even though it was advertised.

“Would book again, definitely recommend”

The owners were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make our stay great, and the flowers outside made the property look welcoming while the bed was very comfortable.

“Friendly, great value, real people!”

The staff were very nice, welcoming and friendly; we arrived late and they kept the bar open so we could have a drink, and they allowed us to eat our own food there after they had finished cooking for the evening, showing great accommodation and going the extra mile—thank you! There was nothing negative; the value was great and everything we needed was provided, though an extra pillow might have been useful if I was fussy, but it could have been in the room somewhere.
