food

Venison, marzipan, and pork stews

Toledo dining reflects the rugged landscape of La Mancha. Wild game dominates local meat dishes during the autumn and winter hunting seasons. Red-legged partridge cooked with vinegar and garlic is a traditional staple across historic taverns. Carcamusa brings slow-braised pork with peas and spicy tomato sauce to traditional bars near Plaza de Zocodover.
