The grounds were lovely and the atmosphere really pleasant, with a decent gym and spa; the hotel sits close to the high street. The rooms could use an update, and while the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, the gym and spa staff were rude and unprofessional.

We booked the hotel for a race meeting at Newmarket and stayed in the Chippenham suite, which was as beautiful as the rest of the property. The bar food was excellent, and both the reception and bar staff were brilliant and very attentive, making for a fantastic stay.

The location was beautiful, comfort was all round, and the reception staff were outstanding; there was nothing else to note.

Breakfast was excellent, the location great, and the staff very helpful and friendly. Our room, however, had no view as promised and sat above the leisure centre, where the noise during classes was intolerable; we endured this for three nights before being moved on the last night of our stay, thankfully.

The staff were lovely, public areas great, the façade and gardens gorgeous, breakfast tasty, and the bed really comfy. The room felt slightly dated, the shower was okay, power was not 100% clean (needs regrouting at the bottom of the shower), and the TV was too far from the main bed.
