“Excellent location just a few bits that werent what we expected”

The location was ideal for Excel, the bed was very comfortable, and the scenery was incredible. Towels were nice, the bathroom layout good, and our questions were answered quickly. However, someone had used the toilet before we arrived and left it unflushed. The listing claimed a kettle and kitchen area with tea, coffee, milk, etc., but there was nothing. The kitchen area had a fridge and microwave, only one mug, a couple of plates, knives, but no forks. We weren’t interested in the kitchen utensils, but it should be clear that while a kettle was present, tea or coffee were not included.

When I booked, I assumed I was reserving a hotel room, but it turned out to be a room in an apartment with a shared bathroom, which was not made clear. I booked for Serene Waterfront, then suddenly saw Wild Roses, and next to the entrance was Capital East Apartments—extremely hard to find, would have failed without someone helping me. Google Maps couldn’t locate it, and from the street there was no sign. The verification and key‑pickup process was a nightmare. The contacts never bothered to call back when I called at 8 pm or 9 am. The bathroom door was stuck; I was locked in for 15 minutes until I could force the door open by pulling the handle high. The room smelled awful. TERRIBLE, never again!

The view and location were great, but the Wi‑Fi was weak with no signal, key collection was terrible, the air conditioning didn’t work, and the place was dirty when we arrived; the carpet and shower were ruined, and basic items like cleaning supplies and dishes were missing.

“Convenient location but everything else kinda sucks”

It was very close to the EcXel, which is convenient for a conference there, and the AC was very good and quiet; they offered a few cups and cutlery with a tea towel, the towels were nice, and the TV had a lot of options like Netflix and BBC iPlayer. The bathroom was separate from the room, so I had to cross the communal hallway each time; my room door lacked a deadbolt or any extra lock besides the simple turn key; there was no information in the room, so you have to screenshot all the check‑in details they sent you beforehand because the Wi‑Fi info isn’t in the room; the microwave was in the wardrobe with no outlet, forcing me to place it on the floor to plug it in; there is one window that opens but it doesn’t close; the worst part was that the address given is for the apartment, but you have to pick up the key at another location with no address, just pictures and a description, making it feel like a scavenger hunt with a heavy backpack; I reached out for clarification in Booking messages and never heard back.
