Sitting in the spa at 39°C under the night sky, far from city lights, was breathtaking and perfect for romance or serious stargazing, but there was no footpath or flagstones to cross the damp lawn from the guest rooms to the spa at night; otherwise it’s an amazing place for peace, quiet, and recovery.

The vibe was great, breakfast was tasty with our granola and French press coffee, and we sat by the fire sipping their various wines; the cold wet rain was a bit of a bother, but the vineyard, the crows‑nest outlook tower, and the overall property still made it worthwhile.

The hosts were very friendly, turned on the fire, left us breakfast, and made us feel welcome; the tasting was wonderful, walking around the grounds and stargazing was nice, and the bed was very comfy.
