“Good staff but poor location”
The staff were extremely helpful, but the neighbourhood and access were poor; taxis couldn't get to the property easily.

The building’s traditional architecture is stunning and was lovingly restored by the owners; I was moved by the warm welcome from the staff, who were flexible with check‑in/check‑out times (especially for my 1 am arrival), served a generous breakfast, and communicated well. The room exceeded my expectations, and the rooftop terrace offered an amazing sunset.

The owners are very friendly and the staff is attentive, but the bathroom wasn’t fully clean when we arrived—there were hairs from previous guests, the toilet leaked, and we had to keep asking for toilet paper.

The hotel’s historic style and old architecture are beautiful, yet the lack of professionalism ruined the whole trip. I left a pouch in the bathroom with cosmetics, hair products, and accessories worth about €60‑70, and when I returned it was gone. With no staff on site, I had to contact them via the booking platform for explanations. The next day the manager admitted the cleaning crew had thrown the bag away, initially pointing out exactly where I had left it, but the following day they claimed it was found in the trash can, denying their earlier statement and trying to blame me. They staged a ridiculous compensation drama: I was first promised a 20 % discount as a partial apology, but at check‑out that turned into an offensive 2 % (just €13), with staff insisting I had misunderstood. Despite a possible language barrier, their handling was a mockery. The manager even demanded I state the exact value of the items, yet I left the next day with no money back or further apology. On top of dishonest management and overpriced rates (they double‑price for an extra bed), the room was unacceptable: the sink was broken and there were cockroaches. The building may look nice from the outside, but it’s not worth the money, especially after my extensive travels in Tunisia where I’ve never seen such a total absence of professionalism, hygiene, courtesy, and respect for guests.

Very welcoming, the bed and room were comfortable, and I felt spoiled by the breakfast options and personal touches.
