The location is top, right in the heart of the Old City! The hotel is very atmospheric and cozy. We really liked the staff – they helped with everything, and all interactions were positive and pleasant. They contacted us before check‑in and offered airport transfer; we used it because we arrived at night in heavy rain, and the driver brought us right to the hotel door, where regular taxis wouldn’t go. The room matched the photos, with a large bed, TV, fridge, workspace, and storage. Breakfasts are somewhat repetitive but tasty. For a first visit to Baku, this hotel is an ideal choice! The plumbing was quite old; on the first day we had a problem with the shower not draining, but it was quickly resolved. The noise level is high, so if you have loud neighbors behind the wall, it’s noticeable. In our room the sofa had no cushions, and the fridge was in the closet and had to be pulled out and placed next to the nearest outlet. These quirks are softened by the friendly staff and the great location.
