“Жаль, что красота не всегда компенсирует человечкий фактор.”
I liked the location, cleanliness, good renovation, all amenities in the windowed room, the bed is not double, but it can be tolerated, not a 5‑star resort, I was interested in the monastery and the nature around it, the terrace with a luxurious view. I am not first time in Tatra. I already wrote above that a window is essential for me, especially in such a place with a mountain view. In Tatra there are many guest houses with windows, why rent without a window, I don’t understand. But… from that window the sound of a pump ran all night, turning on and off. I understand people don’t write about it (and there are few reviews), to not upset the hosts, I would not have written it either if not for one thing… After a sleepless night (the pump is installed right by the window, and that is the sound of a flying drone, sorry, but I’m from Russia, we have something to compare, I still left to rest from those sounds) and again I repeat, I need an open window at night, it’s important for my health, the host said that at night everyone sleeps, it will be quiet, and no one turns on the water at night. So I fell asleep and woke up to those sounds until 4 am, until I went out onto the terrace and saw the host standing by the sink, I was not curious and didn’t watch what he was doing all night, turning the water on and off. I told him I was not sleeping, that I was on duty, and asked him to turn the device off for a few hours until morning. Apart from me, no other guests were there that day. In the morning I politely informed that I could not stay any longer, I would change the guest house. I got a refund for the next day (I had prepaid for two days) and it started to become unimaginable. My wife started watching me in the kitchen, constantly showing that she didn’t like that I was still there, I had to eat breakfast that she prepared under her scrutinizing gaze. So until 12:00, until my full right to be on the terrace, I was under surveillance. Not to mention that I understand Armenian and was horrified by how crudely she expressed herself to my husband. It was humiliating, but I gathered my strength, and silently left. I still didn’t want to write a review, I thought maybe I imagined it, but it didn’t feel like that.
