This houseboat is outstanding, with Firdous as an exceptional host. The overall vibe is beautiful, and the property’s distance from noise makes it extremely peaceful and safe for solo travelers and women alike. The host’s family is welcoming and offers homemade food, including omelets, Kashmiri bread, and tea for breakfast, while Firdous greets guests with Kahwa. He also has good contacts with shawl vendors, so you can buy high‑quality local Kashmiri clothes and shawls. The service is excellent, and the place feels safe and cozy—it became my second home during my journey exploring Kashmir, truly embodying Real Kashmiriyat.

“Just perfect”

The place and host are amazing, but once you step inside the room you can’t easily get to the market; you have to call the host for a boat ride.
