The Pelican Hotel is a boutique hotel situated in the heart of South Beach, directly opposite the beach. Guest rooms feature flat-screen cable TVs, antique furnishings, and coffee-making facilities, with select rooms offering iPod docking stations and sea views. The hotel offers a fitness center, on-site bar and restaurant, and 24-hour reception, as well as concierge services and a gift shop.

The location was fine. We booked a bed and breakfast but were charged $140 because we ordered off the normal, not the residents menu. We were only offered one menu, and when we complained the manager was rude.

The spot was spot on, the place stayed clean and tidy, and the staff were great. I do think the food prices are too high, especially with the $300 credit‑card deposit that took days to return—definitely not acceptable.

A nice, cozy hotel in a great location. The room on the top floor, a Penthouse, had access to a superb terrace. The room décor was unique, with jean‑stitched walls and cabinets. The bathroom offered pleasant toiletries and a fantastic steam iron. The food overall was good, with a discount at the restaurant. Breakfast selection wasn’t huge but was sufficient, and coffee refills were available. The tortillas and pizza were good. Beach loungers were included in the price and there was one good free drink per day. Nothing to complain about.
