I felt like I was in the jungle, surrounded by monkeys and animals, and the breakfast had a fantastic view of the river with good, tasty food. The huts need glass windows or something else to keep the monkeys out.

Nature, next to the river, peace, breakfast, food. The window room had no net, mosquitoes, and a monkey.

The setting is stunning. There is no air conditioning or WiFi in the rooms, but a slight breeze keeps the temperature acceptable.

I stayed in house F and the location was decent, but the wooden railings on the stairs were rotten and had fallen in spots. The bathroom tiles were extremely slick, and I nearly slipped several times. The mattress was too high and bounced with every movement, making it impossible to sleep with a partner. The place was damp and, without air conditioning during the rainy season, my clothes didn’t dry and started to smell. Breakfast was disappointing because they served margarine instead of butter. The most annoying part was the rat that arrived in the evening of the first night, was chased out, then returned at night and jumped on my head, waking me up loudly. It kept coming every day, carrying crumbs from the ashtray and trash, but I have to admit it didn’t touch the fruit. We tried blocking the hole under the door with a bag at night, but it didn’t work— the rat would pull the bag out and still squeeze through, gnawing on the crumbs.

The spot is great, surrounded by nature, and the lodge’s restaurant is excellent at an unbeatable price. The river runs right below the cabin, and in the mornings the monkeys were around us, while at night the sounds of nature filled the air. The cleanliness was only approximate.
