The surroundings were okay, but we didn’t stay in the Pazo itself; instead we were placed in some annex cabins that were nothing special.

“Hotel**** amb llit minúscul i sense l'SPA anunciat”

The building itself was fine, but I felt cheated. We chose it (and paid for it) because it had a spa, yet upon arrival they told us it wasn’t operating (not even on the reservation, website, or the message we received upon arrival). In the room the jacuzzi didn’t work. Neither of those issues led to a room change (they had other free rooms), a discount, or any offered solution. The double bed was unacceptable for a four‑star: 140 cm wide and narrow. The staff were dry and unfriendly. On the bar terrace the music was unbearably loud and guests were making video calls at a shout. A monumental disappointment.

We loved everything about the hotel. It was such an old and historical building, and we appreciated how it had been preserved as close to its original state as possible, giving it a very atmospheric feel. The staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast, food, and the bar met our expectations. It’s one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in, and we’ll be back. The only regret was that we didn’t stay longer.

“great place”

Parking sits right in front of my room, the room had a mini‑fridge, there were loads of things to explore inside the over 300‑year‑old building, the pool was nice, the staff could speak some English, and the A/C worked. Other guests were smoking outside, which was a nuisance.

“Character hotel, but not 4 star with rude staff.”

The hotel had a lovely, charming old‑world vibe. The rooms were very basic and definitely not 4‑star. The breakfast was terrible and some staff were really rude, especially in the restaurant. It’s a shame because with a few improvements the hotel could be great.
