The location made it easy to reach city services, yet the room I booked was in poor condition: the window wouldn’t open, the furniture was flimsy and worn, the linens were old and smelled bad, and the bathroom lacked a window, a shower box, and even a small cabinet for toothbrushes, shampoo, and soap. The room also had no small wardrobe for clothes, and everything else was in terrible shape. Insects—spiders, cockroaches, ants—were present, and the communal fridge was in bad condition.
