We had a great stay: arriving early we could drop our bags and check in right away; the woman explained everything and showed us around, the man was equally friendly and even handed out free ice cream after our long hike, and the bus stop was just a short walk away, making it very convenient.

“癒されて、帰りたくない旅行でした。”

During our 16‑night stay, Da‑chan and his wife were incredibly kind and friendly, always ready to help with any problem; when we mentioned we were going hiking they gave us homemade anti‑hill spray and recommended nearby shops, making them the best hosts I’ve ever met. No negatives.

“リピートはない”

The cleaning was thorough and the place stayed clean, but the air‑conditioner stopped working after 10 hours and then became a paid service, which was very disappointing. In this hot Yakushima, paying for air‑conditioning is hardly reasonable.

“the host was amazing and i would come back to the island just to stay here again. very kind and generous, even gave me a”

The bed was super comfortable, and the host was extremely helpful and accommodating! The shower was good and it’s on the bus line.
