“A problematic stay”

The room was clean, but the water was cold and I had to ask the front desk to fix it; they also moved me to a different room because mine wasn’t ready, and they charged a $100 retainer that turned out to be $185, plus a $7 parking pass fee that wasn’t mentioned, so I woke up to a note that my car might be towed.

The room was roomy and the bed very comfortable, and it stayed quiet throughout. The staff were professional and genuinely enthusiastic. Because of eco‑friendly policies the rooms lacked any tea‑making gear, yet the first‑floor lobby offered hot water, tea and coffee around the clock, which was handy. Breakfast served hot scrambled or fried egg with cheese, ham or bacon, diced potatoes, waffles and salad, plus fresh fruit, a range of juices, milk and yoghurt – truly plentiful. The self‑service laundry and dryer were also quite useful, and overall I had a very pleasant stay. The only drawback was that the shower curtain was short, so water spilled onto the floor each time I showered; a slightly longer curtain would help.
