We spent one night at Kowit Farmstay and were extremely satisfied; Google Maps made the route simple, and even our not‑so‑strong car handled the climb fine. The farm is remote, which is part of its charm, and the host greeted us warmly upon arrival with flawless English communication. At first we were a bit nervous about driving up the hill, but a larger parking area inside the farm allowed us to turn around easily and park multiple cars. We arrived early, checked in right away, and chose between two huts—both clean and lovely. It’s a bit amusing if you’re not used to it, as the walls and floor aren’t 100 % sealed and you can see outside, but in Thailand it’s fine because it’s warm. Since the room wasn’t fully sealed, the bed was turned into a mosquito‑net canopy, making us feel like princesses. Warm water was available, which is great. Most of the time we spent outdoors, surrounded by rice fields and scenery that never seemed to end. In the evening we had a sensational dinner, vegetarian as requested, without any hassle. We slept well and could choose our own breakfast time; breakfast was again fantastic—full but happy, and we left comfortably.

It’s a genuine farmstay right in the middle of nowhere among rice fields. Breakfast and dinner are provided, the huts and bathrooms are clean, and if you have your own transport it’s easy to reach Pa Bong Piang and Doi Ithanon. However, there’s essentially nothing else, so I felt the price was a bit steep compared to hotels.

A tiny haven of peace. The view from our cabin was incredible, the dinner and breakfast were very good, and the owner taught my daughter how to plant rice—very nice. He also had his little boy, a lovely encounter.

The décor is fabulous, the host is very kind. Bring earplugs; the insects make a terrible noise at night, which sets the mood but can keep you from sleeping. Nothing else.
