“Comfortable and well taken care off”

The staff were pleasant, Bella worked hard and looked after us; we felt cozy and comfortable, especially my daughter who could run around safely and happily. The bathroom in one room smelled and was average, but we were later moved to a different room that was much better.

“Disappointing experience overall”

We were disappointed: the room met Bunaken standards but was pricey for what it offered, infested with ants—including ones crawling on us at night—and the property showed its age, especially the bathroom needing upkeep. The manager seemed very strict and unfriendly, making us feel constantly watched and pressured to eat only at the hotel, with overpriced activities and extra fees for almost everything. The full‑board schedule was restrictive: breakfast 7:00‑9:00, lunch 12:00, dinner 19:00—times that are very early and inflexible for vacationers, so “full board” carries heavy conditions. The food was good, which deserves credit, but the high prices, poor maintenance, ants, rigid schedule, and uncomfortable vibe made the experience disappointing, so we wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

“Wonderful stay, will stay again in the future. thank you Bella.”

Bella and her family truly made the stay wonderful. She ensured our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. She cooked us flavorful, varied meals each day, organized the tours, and was always there if we needed anything. The location is conveniently next to the pier. Private boat transfers from Manado can be arranged through the homestay or you can take the public ferry. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable, with strong AC, and I really enjoyed the vibe. The only issue was a few ants in our room, which isn’t a big deal. Also, be aware that the island’s water supply is salty because the groundwater is close to the sea, affecting the showers, but drinking water is plentiful.

“Great staff, great room, great location”

Bella is an amazing host. Her cooking is fantastic, some of the best food I’ve had in Indonesia. Tours and activities are well arranged from the hotel, and there were never any problems with transport, communication, or timing. The AC in the room worked well and the area is very relaxing. The shower and general water in the room are somewhat salty, although I understand this is an island thing and not something to do with the hotel itself. Still, hot water is available, so it’s not too bad overall.
