The staff were very nice and the location was convenient because it’s close to the royal gorge, though every motel or hotel in the area is similarly close. Unfortunately this was the absolute worst motel I’ve ever stayed at. The room resembled a dungeon cell—dark, gloomy, with flies buzzing around. The mattress was terrible and sunken, the pillows were flat like the mattress, and I felt itchy, possibly indicating bed bugs. We left after about 30 minutes, packed up, and booked another place down the street. I do not recommend this place.

The owners were nice, but the bed and dog park were not very clean.

There was nothing for the $115 price. I had to wipe the toilet down because it wasn’t clean. The next morning we discovered how dirty the room was; the floors were horrible and you couldn’t walk around barefoot. We didn’t realize until after my husband showered, and he had to re‑wash his feet. I spoke to the manager, and he said he couldn’t do anything because we booked through a third‑party site. I wouldn’t have this hotel on that site; it was awful.
