A private spot with a solid mattress and excellent pillows, plus a fully stocked kitchen that covered everything I needed for a longer stay, and an owner who was very courteous and even waited up in the middle of the night to greet me.

Getting there was simple and the spot itself was well situated; a bakery, a shop and a takeaway were all within a short walk, and bus links were good for getting to the centre. The room was tidy, fairly comfortable, and there was an outdoor terrace to relax on. The main downside was how small it was and that the tiny kitchen opened onto the toilet, separated only by a flimsy door; a proper small outdoor table would have made eating outside more enjoyable.
