Pax Manor sits in a calm, leafy part of Nairobi. It was truly an oasis and the staff took great care of us. It was exceptional. Nothing was missing—it was all perfect.

The staff were excellent. However, many facilities were unavailable: the spa was out of service, the whiskey room was under maintenance, and the pool was not heated. For the price we paid, we expected those to be available.

“Little oasis especially early morning and late night.”

The staff were attentive and efficient. Breakfast was excellent. The layout and gardens were beautiful. I loved that the original manor building was preserved and new structures were built around it aesthetically. It overlooked Karura Forest, providing wildlife entertainment, including birds and passing Colobus monkeys. I just hope the forest stays intact and nothing else is destroyed. 🙏 Thanks to the whole team for a pleasurable stay. We didn’t have time to use some facilities because of external commitments. Hopefully we can use them next time. The pool was too cool for me, but my husband used it once. There was a lot of activity and entertainment on the grounds, but overall it didn’t interfere with our enjoyment of room 6.

Stunning is the word that sums this place up. From the start, the communication was spot on— the hotel’s WhatsApp team was professional, attentive, and quick to reply. I booked for a loved one from thousands of miles away, and their service gave me full confidence everything would run smoothly. The resort itself is absolutely gorgeous; the photos just don’t capture how amazing it feels in person. It sits in a peaceful, green setting with lush gardens and forest surroundings, the perfect escape from city noise and stress. What really set it apart was the staff: everyone called guests by name, making the birthday stay feel very special, and they were extra thoughtful toward the guest’s young daughter, ensuring her needs were met. A courtesy late checkout was another appreciated touch. The private movie theater was a great feature, especially for families with kids. The gym, spa, and buffet breakfast were also excellent. What struck me most about the staff was that every single one of them kept saying how happy they were to work at the hotel. Rarely do you see employees who truly love what they do, and that reflects the ownership and management’s genuine care for employee well‑being. The stay was a true 5‑star experience. The service, setting, facilities, and overall hospitality were outstanding, and I would highly recommend this hotel. The only issue was the discrepancy between menu prices and the prices shown in the hotel’s system; for example, one menu item was listed at KES 4,000, but the system displayed KES 4,500, which should be corrected to avoid confusion. Other than that, everything was perfect.
