Oasis by Franklin Hotel Boutique was a comfortable yet slightly quirky place; parts of the apartment seemed built from shipping containers, which wasn’t a problem but it took a moment to understand the layout and some features; the ground‑floor rooms had small steps up and down; the kitchen was well equipped, there was air conditioning, a small pool, Wi‑Fi, and a TV in every room; the town was within walking distance and Ubers were easy to find for farther trips; it was fun to see Pepe the resident sloth; the master ensuite bathroom was semi‑open to a small river, fully screened, giving a steady pleasant background noise; remember you must pay in cash or PayPal as stated on the listing. The downside was that there was no hot water in the kitchen or master ensuite (the second bedroom had hot water), the socket by the mirror didn’t work, and there was little storage for clothes.

“El hotel bien, el personal no tanto”

The room’s comfort, the location and the small but well‑maintained pool were positives; the person who was almost always at the hotel, whom we think is the owner’s father, was very kind. We forgot an international vaccination booklet and because the transfer didn’t go through immediately (it took a few hours) we had to pay via PayPal, so we ended up paying twice for the shipping; when we asked the owner for a refund of the transfer she ignored us on WhatsApp.

“Precioso lugar para vacacionar”

The place was quite clean, tidy and very close to the center; it had many amenities and a lovely friend, Pepe the sloth. However, if you go you’ll need to find a place to eat or bring your own food, as there is no restaurant on the premises.
