“Fantastic and grand hotel with perfect views of the Mekong, and easy 15min taxi into Vientiane centre”

I really enjoyed my stay here in July 2026; the hotel was grand and spacious, my room was large and affordable for its quality, it had a big bedroom and bathroom plus a balcony with fantastic Mekong views, the staff were attentive and polite—serving a welcome juice at check‑in and fresh fruit after I reached the room—and I can’t fault my stay, especially since taxis to Vientiane centre took only about 15 minutes and airport access was smooth and easy; more people should know about Vientiane—I had a gem of a time there and at this hotel.

“All excellent except for no spa available.”

The swimming pool was great and the breakfast very good, but the spa was closed, and I wasn’t sure why—maybe low season? I didn’t realize there was nothing nearby.

“Expected more. They can improve”

The hotel is spacious, but the toilet flush kept failing, and little details were neglected; the key card also stopped working, forcing me to walk back all the way to get it reactivated. The flush never worked again.

The place is elegant, clean, and offers a great view of the Macon river, though it sits a little ways out from downtown activity.

I loved our stay here and would definitely return; I can’t fault it in any way. The spa, however, was unfortunately closed during our visit.
