“Great family feel Dar while giving space and offering all mod cons”
Very friendly family feel to the property - it was a soft season but we were very well looked after - nothing was too much trouble. Very enjoyable stay. Nothing really - it was very comfortable.
“A very inviting, comfortable room in a traditional medina house.”
The host was very helpful, the room was heated during a cold spell, and it was very close to the beach. Nothing negative.
“Repetiría sin duda”
The bed was very comfortable, everything was very clean, and the house was beautiful. Coincidentally we were alone and were given the choice of the room that made us most comfortable. The host recommended places to dine and was very attentive.
“Great stay in the Médina of Hammamet”
Everything we needed for a short winter break in the sun. Heating to help in the night when the temp drops - everything we needed for breakfast - and very helpful hosts to advise and give direction. It was a short but very satisfying visit. Nothing really - the hosts had considered everything for us
“Forget it.”
I’m sure those two ladies make a ton of money by overcharging tourists who think this guesthouse is the perfect place for a holiday, only to keep their more stylish residence outside the medina. Absolute cynicism. They do the bare minimum to make their “guests” comfortable—just two half-rolls of toilet paper and literally six squares of paper towel for my three‑night stay. They barely take care of anything, and the furniture is old and cheap. The only positives were that the bed I slept in was quite comfortable and the ground‑floor bathroom was luxurious. On top of that, a noisy cleaning lady did laundry, clanking buckets until late at night, and the place is literally two blocks from the Great Mosque, where you hear the call to prayer as if it were fifteen times a day. While I was there, a man tried to force his key into the locked door of my room while I was napping. Later, I introduced myself as a “guard” showing the house to a couple for a summer stay. I called the police, thinking there was a real threat. It was incredible that the guy didn’t knock or announce himself at all. I will never stay in a guesthouse again, and probably never in a medina again.
