We skipped breakfast on site because the garden looked neglected, equipment was left on the walkways, the shower tiles had mold on the ceiling, the bathroom had been cleaned only a few days ago, and the whole house, including the kitchen and living room, was messy – that’s why we avoided the breakfast. The sheets were clean, but I wouldn’t recommend this B&B; the price is the only redeeming factor, yet the upkeep is lacking – window sills had dust and spiders for months. The owner is quiet but friendly, though clearly overwhelmed running the place alone. The bathrooms were shared among all occupants – owners, guests, and more than six people in total.

Jean Pierre was a very friendly and caring host who gave me plenty of information about Groix, its people, and island life in the past. The breakfast was very hearty. The room had no TV.

“Un chouette lieu pour visiter l'île de Groix en toute simplicité.”

The host’s kindness and simplicity, the trust he gives, his responsiveness via phone and willingness to accommodate, the friendly atmosphere, the spacious room, the option to leave luggage after check‑out, the small outdoor table for picnics, and the price were all great. Nothing negative; some might find it a bit chaotic, but that didn’t bother me.
