“Expensive, noisy, disappointing”
The single pod was clean. The experience was very disappointing compared to other hostels I had stayed in. The main issue was the complete lack of any noise insulation; even the toilet and bathroom had no insulation – fun fact: they put a note in the bathroom saying “do not use hairdryer before 8 am.” The pod was as noisy as a dormitory. The doors (room doors, bathroom doors, and especially the hallway doors) were fitted with closers that slam extremely loudly every single time – check‑in was possible all night, with three slams at 3 am, hurray. The pod’s temperature could not be regulated manually; I set it to 22, a few hours later it was less than 21. Paper could not be thrown in the toilet, but they did not empty bins. Only two toilets and two showers served a dozen people. It was very expensive compared to quality pods in Japan.
