The Oceanside, a Coast Hotel

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is great, but the coffee tasted cheap.

“It Was Fantastic!”

The breakfast special cost $60 with a tip for two, which is a bit pricey, yet it was excellent and the view of the ocean from the restaurant or patio is unmatched. The staff were always very friendly. Because we had a plug‑in hybrid car, the complimentary charging station was very useful and we kept the car charged. The rooms were spotless and smelled fresh when we entered. The ocean view was outstanding, and we would definitely recommend this hotel. Finding a parking spot was a bit tricky if you left and returned before the dinner crowd cleared the restaurant, as the place is popular with locals.

The hotel is close to the coast and we were lucky to catch a whale‑watching tour during our stay. The room was clean and my kids enjoyed it. The upstairs guests were very noisy and disrupted the kids’ sleep around 8–9 p.m.; I think they also have pets that wake us around 8 a.m. I know the suite can’t control that, but otherwise we had a great time and experience.

“Schön, aber nachts laut von der Straße”

Sehr schöne Zimmer, freundlicher Empfang. Lage direkt am Sunshine Coast Highway, auf dem morgens ab 5 sehr viel Betrieb herrscht, so dass ich - auch dank der in Kanada üblichen schlechten Schallisolation nicht mehr schlafen konnte
