The place feels like a genuine Japanese house and the kitchen is pretty handy, but it’s a bit far from the station and hard to spot.

The rooms are comfy and quiet, set in a nicely appointed traditional house that gives you a real taste of Japan. The proprietor is friendly and helpful, welcoming us and even letting us leave our folded‑up bike boxes in the shed to pick up later. The shed is covered, so bikes are safe. The neighborhood is a maze of narrow alleys, great for cycling to shops for anything from camping gear to cycle accessories. It’s only two train stops from KIX, and the price is fantastic.
