The location was perfect, close to everything, the amenities were good, the rooms were clean, and the little extras were appreciated, yet the check‑in process was confusing; if you have a strict check‑in time, don’t ask when people will arrive so the room can be ready, because it wasn’t, and the owner argued with customers when I checked him quickly.

We stayed here during the Reading Festival and it was very easy to hop on the train to Reading and back; check‑in was super smooth, everything was comfortable and quiet, and it was extremely good value for money—basic but nothing wrong with that for the price.
