The place is meticulously cared for, stunning, beautifully decorated, super clean, and every offered service is efficient and functional. The staff are kind and helpful, providing very useful recommendations in just a few words. Spending time here is wonderful!

Great location, the staff are super friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is natural and pleasant. Wi‑Fi didn’t work at all or was very poor most days. The outdoor toilets and showers are nice, but during mosquito season they’re not ideal. My 4‑person dorm was very small, had no windows, and I could hear everything outside.

I’ve checked dozens of hostels across the Americas on this long trip, and La Candelaria is among the very best. The manicured garden is sweet, and there’s an open, well‑equipped kitchen inside. Breakfast in the morning is great, and people come here to rest and unwind in quiet surroundings. Muy buena onda! Nothing to complain about. Thanks, Tania & crew.
