“Lovely little hotel that gives you an authentic local feeling.”

The hotel felt extremely authentic and charming in the countryside, with very friendly staff and easy after‑hours access. Breakfast was fantastic too. The bed was just too soft—almost like a waterbed, though it wasn’t. It’s not a 5‑star hotel, but it’s still really good.

“Quite pleasant as a good rural location and very handy for the Goodwood estate and aerodrome”

The room size and facilities were good, with nice touches like homemade cookies, and the bed was comfortable. The downside is that the room was on the front of the pub on the first floor, so if you’re a night owl or the weather is nice, you’ll hear other guests talking and drinking outside.

The area was lovely and the room was very clean. Fans were added during the heatwave. The only issue was that some items on the evening menu were missing, and when certain breakfast items were also unavailable, it seemed like poor management.

“A perfect place to stay, wouldn’t hesitate to go back.”

We stayed three nights here and can’t recommend it enough. The setting was idyllic, the rooms were well maintained and very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, the Sunday roast was amazing, and they catered to my gluten‑free needs without any issues—they were very knowledgeable. The highlight was the staff: Hamish and everyone else were so friendly and helpful, even storing a wedding cake for us overnight, which was a huge help. They went above and beyond, and it was a pleasure to meet such a great team. Thank you so much 😊
