The spot is spot on – just a five‑minute walk to the supermarket, shops and restaurants. The room itself was pretty tiny and plain, but it worked for a night or two. Breakfast left a lot to be desired, so we headed into town for a proper meal. All in all, it felt a bit pricey for what you get.

The hotel sits in a fantastic spot in Santa Elena, with a west‑facing view that stretches over the ocean and Nicoya Peninsula – especially stunning at sunset. The room was small and simply furnished, yet spotless, and breakfast could be made fresh on request. The carpet in the room isn’t the most hygienic, and a bedside lamp would have been a nice touch.
