“Nice place, good location”
It was our second stay at Linden Row Inn and we will return. It’s a simple but very nice place, great location, friendly staff.

The sitting‑room entrance was very nice, as was the patio, and there was a pleasant cat. The room was fine and very clean. Walking back from the garage, I got soaked in a downpour. It was almost midnight, I only had a tee shirt on… I got to the room and thought, well this is nothing, a hot shower won’t fix it. I prepared the shower, ran the water at full blast for 10 minutes… the water only went, at its best, the colder side of lukewarm… it was the worst cold shower I could ask for after being drenched in the rain. It put me in a pretty dour mood. We let it run some more after I gave up in case it might get warm for my girlfriend, but it didn’t get any better. So we went to bed after a refreshing cold shower. I am not one to complain at night, we had unpacked, not really wanting another room, even if that had been an option. But I told the checkout clerk in the morning and he said they had been having trouble with water heaters. Well, these things happen and it was my unlucky night. I will never take for granted a hot shower again… I really wanted one that night. It was piping hot around 9 am, however. Would have been nice.

The garden room was small and worn. More old than quaint. It seemed worn out. It could be very quaint, but instead it seemed old and dated.

I loved the charm of the place: a historic gem, very cozy, clean, and well‑appointed room. Great for me as a solo traveler. The staff were terrific and friendly. I also liked the low‑key vibe of the place. For me, a great hotel for the price too. The location is slightly dodgy? (But OK for me, and convenient.) Also my room was near some kind of construction, so a bit noisy in the morning.

Linden Row is the most charming place to stay for visitors to Richmond. The layout is traditional and unique. There’s a very warm and genuine welcome from very helpful staff. And a cat. Very convenient for Richmond sights. The bed, closet space, space to read or work and bathroom are adequate, not best ever. Parking can be a challenge.
