“Le séjour a été très mauvais.”
The location is in a noisy area and the hallway leading to the hotel stairs is in bad condition. I could smell a strong urine odor in the entrance. However, the breakfast was more or less acceptable. The room and bed were problematic: the sheets were neither clean nor of good quality, and there were bedbugs in both the pillows and the bed. I honestly spent almost a nightmare night with the bedbugs.
“Itchy bedbugs / not good maintenance”
I woke up to a nightmare—bedbugs crawling all over my sheets, a sight I only noticed after setting my alarm for a 7:00 am bus. I filmed and photographed the infestation, feeling utterly traumatized. The hotel sits on the 2nd floor, forcing me to haul two suitcases up stairs just to reach the front desk, and the place reeks of something far from a clean hotel. This is my candid take as a tourist.
“From start to finish, I felt welcomed and my business appreciated.”
From the very start, I was warmly greeted by Turkiye at the front desk. I especially loved that after a number of hours on the bus ride from Toronto, she was very kind and sweet in allowing me an earlier check in rather than at 3:00 pm. That really helped me get some needed shut eye. Then of course there is the owner, Hop, who is such a lovely, pleasant, hardworking lady who is doing her best in keeping the hotel going. I do miss the former days when the breakfast included boiled eggs
The spot was convenient for my conference, but lugging my suitcase up the staircase proved a real hassle.
The location was ideal for a solo traveler.
