The hotel’s location was excellent, the room had a fridge, the shower was a bit small but great, the beds were comfortable, and the large garden with lounge chairs by the big pool was delightful; you can also work out if you like and the breakfast was good, really everything was pretty much perfect.

The reception was very good, the staff were very kind, the breakfast was good, and access is easy. Nothing else to note.

The hotel in Tissa is especially for doing safari in Yala. It needs maintenance and cleaning, but it has everything you need. Breakfast is VERY good and the staff are fantastic. It needs to improve on cleaning if it wants to keep those prices, which are high for what the area offers (NONE). The air conditioning does not direct the air and is very dirty.

The staff were very friendly and helpful; I was assisted immediately with every question, and they even arranged my bus route to Ella. When the safari pickup was a bit later, a message was sent to me to confirm everything was okay, and after I left Serenity, another message checked that I had arrived safely. All that extra effort is highly appreciated! The breakfast that was ready for me to take on the safari was nice, and the gym was available for use. The place was clean but not ultra‑clean. For me, as a solo backpacker who usually sleeps in hostels, that wasn’t a problem, but if you’re not used to that, keep it in mind.
