The location was great and the staff were nice, but the bed sheets were noisy and not breathable—probably plastic—and the mattress felt a bit lumpy. The hydrotherapy pool was full of kids jumping around.

It was good overall, but there was no jazz in the bar like on our last visit; now it’s moved next door and comes with a charge.

The rooms were very spacious and the views of Salthill were beautiful, especially if you get a sea‑view room. However, the hotel didn't feel like a four‑star place; we had to ask someone to help with our bags on arrival, the restaurant had a sign saying “wait to be seated” which made us wait too long and then we gave up, and housekeeping was poor. We weren't told we had to request housekeeping, and when we finally did, it was very bad.

The location overlooking the sea was fantastic, the hotel was comfortable with good facilities, breakfast was great with plenty of choices, and the staff were friendly. The only downside was that there were no instructions for heating or air‑con in the bedroom.

The location was brilliant, reception and check‑in service was excellent, and the breakfast was lovely.
