The value was outstanding; towels and slippers were provided for reuse, but the public bathroom could use storage shelves for items.

The spot was decent, within walking distance of Taichung Station, offered a simple breakfast, plenty of shower water, a clean room and bed, and a moderate AC temperature. Self‑check‑in worked, so even a midnight arrival was fine. The first time I booked a “single bed in a dormitory room,” it turned out to be a converted bunk bed, pricier than the original bunk, and there was no pillow on the bed or in the closet—only on the bunk beds—so I had to borrow one. When I mentioned a possible late arrival in the booking message, the staff simply replied, “self‑check‑in,” which was clear but a bit cold.

Everything was perfect, nothing was lacking.

They offered a basic breakfast with toast, jam, coffee, soy milk, and it was all self‑served from the fridge; I had no idea at first, so I asked other guests. Outside of business hours, luggage storage wasn’t available, so I had to use the nearby locker for 80 NT, even though I had called earlier to ask about it—no one answered, and I received no reply until checkout. The experience felt very self‑service and I didn’t expect that level of autonomy. It would help if the staff received a reminder about shift times after booking. After finishing breakfast, I wanted to leave my luggage but the front desk wasn’t open, so I left it in the lobby. When I returned in the afternoon, the code had changed; a lady answered the phone, came down to unlock the door, and kept urging me to leave because she was going upstairs to clean. The whole process was inflexible. The shower’s water‑control valve had no lever and was hard to use; it needs repair.
