Everything about the Grand was perfect, but I only stayed for a single day.

The new hotel had a well‑equipped room and friendly, helpful staff; its location is ideal for visiting the Periyar Tiger Reserve, right next to the bus stop, and you can also walk around the village. The hotel restaurant is decent, but there are other options nearby. It was noisy, with hallway music loud enough to be heard from the room, and street conversations seeped in; the doors of the rooms slam loudly when closed.

The lobby and bedroom were clean and nice, but there was no fridge in the room; since the hotel was fully booked according to reception, no one else ate in the restaurant besides us.
