They say some restaurants don’t take reservations, but when you arrive you’re told there’s a waiting list, even though nobody is actually waiting outside.

The place is very nice, clean, and has great facilities, but the buffet isn’t very varied. Everything else is excellent.

“Beautiful resort with room for improvement”

* Beautiful, luxurious property, especially the lobby. ( El Faro kids friendly, El Beso Adults only) * Very kid-friendly, with a water park, lazy river, and drinks easily accessible throughout. * Lighthouse Tower offers amazing views of the entire resort. * Decent-sized rooms with large balconies. * Excellent customer service from Aneuris at the Mercaro buffet. * Trolley service makes getting around the property easy. * Multiple dining options, including an ice cream parlor, sports bar, café, and several restaurants. * Lots of sand beds available by the beach * 1 main buffet, great variety of food, meats and desserts daily (food is also good) * Entertainment is good but could be better, hosts could be more interactive and funny. * Distance from the airport:Approximately 45 minutes by car. * Timeshare pressure tactics: After check-in, someone approaches you claiming they’ll give you a welcome gift, but it’s actually a timeshare presentation. There’s constant pressure to join even after you say no. * Privilege membership upgrade scam:You pay extra for an upgrade but receive essentially the same services as everyone else. * Poor housekeeping and bathroom cleanliness: Showerheads and toilets need deep cleaning due to heavy staining and what appears to be mold. Housekeeping is very basic, often limited to changing towels, replacing toiletries, and mopping floors. * Black sand beach: Lots of seaweed makes the beach unsuitable for swimming, and flying insects that resemble bees are especially noticeable after rain. * Public bathroom cleanliness: Some public restrooms could be much cleaner. * Watered-down drinks: Drinks often taste diluted, especially nonalcoholic beverages. * No designated smoking areas: Smoke is noticeable throughout the property, which is especially unpleasant for pregnant guests and people with asthma like myself. * Unsanitary table settings: Utensils are sometimes placed directly on the table without a placemat or proper linen. They should be placed on clean napkins or appropriate table linens for better hygiene. * Ocean burger bar workers handling burgers and hot dogs need to wear gloves

“Lo mejor para una escapada en pareja o la familia”

I loved the hotel and the staff service was the best part. It was my first time staying there and it was truly a pleasant experience. Carlos Enrique, our concierge, was 1A, always attentive and ready to make our stay the best. The waiters Omar at the Margarita restaurant and Miguel at Dolce Vita were super friendly and helpful. Grasiela, the host at the Family Lounge, was always kind, warm, and smiling, making us feel at home. We would definitely come back with the whole family.
