The castle sits on a hill with a beautiful view and a grand entrance, yet the indoor air quality was so poor that we started feeling allergy‑like symptoms right after arriving; the stale, musty odor in the rooms felt like an old museum. I respect the hotel’s effort to preserve the historic feel with antique furnishings, but that shouldn’t compromise a healthy environment if it’s marketed as a five‑star property. We left within three hours of arrival, having paid €2,460 for a two‑night stay, expecting the standard comfort and quality of a five‑star hotel, but we received none of that. We got no refund of the €2,460. I chose this hotel because of its good reviews, so I hope others won’t have to face the same ordeal.

Everything is perfect and unique; I wouldn’t expect anything different from a Relais & Chateau hotel. There’s a museum inside the castle, and the staff is extraordinary. It truly makes you feel like you’re back in the past, with top‑quality service and cuisine. It was the right choice for my wedding anniversary.

The hotel was truly exceptional in every way—utterly relaxing, discreet, delicious food, gorgeous rooms and grounds, and staff who were simply superb, all for a completely fair price. I have absolutely no complaints at all.
The location is beautiful, the view is stunning, it has a lot of charm, the room is very large with a great outdoor terrace, and the hallway to the spa is very impressive.
