The room was clean, comfortable, and the AC didn’t whine into our heads; it worked quietly. We stayed in room 302 on the top floor with a view of the green mountains of Samui. Having access to the beach‑side hotel The Cove Chaweng was a huge plus, with sea‑view breakfasts, a separate yogurt fruit salad that was a real treat, tasty coffee, and a good breakfast spread. The beach itself was stunning—no stones, no coral, crystal‑clear water, plenty of loungers with umbrellas, three pools, and a convenient location. We had one key for the room but two chips for the front door, which was handy. Separate beds were a plus. The only downside for older guests was the lack of an elevator, which we turned into a minor advantage because it added a bit of extra exercise.

I appreciated the quick beach access, and the air‑conditioning was fine—just a bit loud but tolerable. The staff were nice. The view from the window was horrible, the room’s lighting setup was odd, and there was black mould on the shower floor.

The breakfast was very good, but the stairs to the room were a hassle, and taxi fares to the centre of KHO SAMUI were expensive.

The hotel offered access to the pool and the comparable hotel’s facilities; the staff were friendly and, after we realised the hotel didn’t suit us, they genuinely tried to help us cancel. The location was far from everything, the rooms were small, dark, and felt like a hostel. There was no elevator, so we had to climb many stairs to reach the room, and the lack of cooling made it very hot.
