The drive from Halifax through the forest was beautiful, and the staff gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. Everything was exactly as it had been described, so there were no unpleasant surprises. All in all, a pleasant and hassle‑free stay.

The farm setting is charming, especially waking up to the animals in the courtyard at sunrise. Breakfast was very basic—just scrambled eggs—but the fresh apple juice, house‑made buckwheat bread, honey and apple jam were all tasty. The room was small and the mattress sat on a platform without covering the whole base, and the buckwheat‑filled pillow and blanket were too small for a double bed. Still, the overall vibe of the place was nice.

The house near Tatamagouche sits in a lovely countryside spot. Stephan was extremely friendly and offered great tips for exploring Nova Scotia, and the Wi‑Fi was fast and reliable. The resident cat added a pleasant touch to the atmosphere.
