“Nightmare, avoid!”
I had a nightmare stay. I didn’t realize the place was tucked behind a shop. The room was filthy and grimy. The air‑con was wired into the bathroom wall, making the bathroom hot, then it started smoking and filled the room with smoke, so we unplugged it. The hosts said it was them cooking and told us to plug it back in; two minutes later the same thing happened again. The room had no windows, and we felt unsafe, so we left at 11 pm. The shower’s water pressure was absurd—better to wait for rain to shower. Plants were growing through the walls into the bathroom. Even after speaking to the hosts, they wouldn’t refund us for the four nights we were supposed to stay.
