The owner, Lisa, welcomed us and gave us a tour. Two cozy sitting rooms are available, one of which offers plenty of space for dining at the tables. The shared kitchen is large, spotless, and stocked with plenty of equipment, including two ovens, two fridge‑freezers, a dishwasher, and so on. There’s a wide selection of tea and coffee. A plastic tub is provided for you to store food items during your stay; just label it. A well‑stocked Spar is next door, making it easy to pick up ingredients for a main meal. The room was very comfortable, featuring a sofa and great views. The bathroom and shower were small but nicely presented, with a warm shower. Thick towels were supplied. If you plan to dine out, book ahead because places are usually full on Saturday nights. If you get stuck, there’s a sit‑in fish and chip shop on the main street.

The location and the B&B’s self‑service format were helpful, but the room was a very small, claustrophobic box that didn’t really feel like a bedroom. Drinks kept me awake.
