We liked the view from the window and the elevator was a great convenience. We also appreciated the ability to boil water from the bottom of the hotel. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. However, we were disappointed to find the room half‑cleaned: there was no soap or shampoo, the floor wasn’t swept, and the carpet wasn’t vacuumed. We appreciated that the lady let us check in 20 minutes early, but that was the only instance of a quick cleaning; for a four‑star hotel, not a motel, the subsequent cleanings were rushed rather than thorough. The room’s temperature control didn’t work and it was too hot. We also asked the lady for a kettle to pay for, but she immediately refused.

“Decent room, ruined by a parking shambles that cost me 550 NOK and an hour of my evening, with recep”

The room was clean and comfortable, but parking was a nightmare: only a handful of paid spaces existed, I paid 350 NOK for 24 hours upon arrival, then found the spot taken when I returned, spent about an hour searching for another spot and paid an additional 200 NOK elsewhere—totaling 550 NOK for one night’s parking and wasting an hour of my evening. The reception repeatedly told me the hotel didn’t own the car park and that finding a space was my problem, offering no alternatives, nearby garages, or assistance. If you sell rooms to guests who drive, you should at least advise them on parking. I also saw about ten cars receive parking fines in the space of four hours outside the hotel, showing how poorly managed and unclear the situation is, and the hotel didn’t warn anyone.
