Located in the serene town, all amenities are just a block away, and the website photos suggest the river is visible from the back courtyard, which it is not; it’s just down the road from the guesthouse. First, the welcome was cold—the man who opened for us didn’t smile and couldn’t even show us where everything was in the room that has a locked back entrance without a key. Worse, you pay R150.00 just to use the kitchen, so it’s not designed for self‑catering. There are no plates or cutlery in the room. I’ll never go there again; the host treats you like he’s doing you a favor.

The room stayed warm enough during the winter night. The towels felt a bit hard; maybe softer ones would be better.

The room was spacious, came with an electric blanket, and was close to town. However, some outlets didn’t work and there was no microwave.

The place was clean, comfortable, and located in a beautiful area, and it felt very safe. The downside was that there wasn’t enough parking space.
